Selling
What selling costs and what you keep
Listing on The Aisle Exchange is free. You only pay when something sells.
What you keep
When a piece sells, you keep 85% of the sale price — our commission is 15%. That 85% is flat: we cover the card-processing cost out of our commission, so it never comes out of your share. There are no listing fees, monthly fees, or hidden charges.
On a $100 sale, you keep $85.
Founding sellers
The first 10 sellers to finish setting up their seller account are Founding Sellers. Founding sellers pay 0% commission through 11:59 PM ET on December 31, 2026 — you keep the full item price, and only standard payment processing applies. On a $100 founding sale, you keep $96.80.
After that date, the standard 85% applies going forward, the same as every other seller. Founding status is claimed when you finish setting up payouts — not when you sign up, and not when you list.
Payment processing
Card payments carry a standard processing cost of 2.9% + 30¢ (charged by our payment provider, Stripe). For standard sellers, we absorb that cost out of our 15% commission — it's already baked into the 85% you keep, so you never pay it separately.
Founding sellers pay 0% commission, so there's no commission for us to absorb it from — that 2.9% + 30¢ is the only deduction on a founding sale, which is why a $100 founding sale nets $96.80 rather than the full $100.
Pricing limits
You can price a listing anywhere from $5 to $2,000.
